altM is focused on developing sustainable materials from agricultural residue to assist companies in reducing their carbon footprints and promoting circularity in their supply chains. They utilize lignocellulosic agricultural residues to create advanced materials that provide eco-friendly alternatives to traditional products. Lignocellulosic residue consists of dry plant waste remaining from crop processing, including barley straw, corn stover, sorghum stalks, coconut husks, sugarcane bagasse, and banana leaves.
