Description
Their ‘Avani’ is a project that addresses the concept of Sustainable Organic Solid Waste Management. It is a For-Profit social enterprise that aims at achieving Net Zero Organic Waste by recycling the organic waste generated at Temples and Markets. Initially, they are concentrating on converting the floral waste generated at temples into handmade products. Avani's operations are based at Rajahmundry, concentrating on the organic waste being dumped into the river Godavari. Their project converts temple waste into Value-added products using an Integrated Resource Recovery Centre (IRRC) Approach, which is a technology-led waste management mechanism.
